Every year, the sixth grade of our school goes to Italy to finish the last year of high school with nice memories, and this year it was my turn! I was really looking forward to this vacation and I made a list beforehand of places I wanted to see, and of course shops I wanted to visit. This post will be about Kiko, my favourite Italian cosmetic brand.
Kiko is a brand from Milan, that you can find in almost every little or big city in Italy. I can say that we at least found 10 in the eight days we were there, from Firenze to Rome, which made me very happy. I’ll show you some of the things I bought!
In this photo, you can see the colour click lipstick 01 and matching lip pencil. The colour is really bright, brighter than I expected it to be (the colour is slightly lighter in the picture). The lipstick lasts long, I can say that after my lunch (and an Italian ice cream ;)) it was still there. I actually like it more when it’s a little less bright, so I think it becomes more beautiful the longer you’re wearing it.
Next things I bought are the lip relief – intense lip balm and the protective ridge filler base coat (number 105). Two basics that are my absolute favourites! I have a very sensitive body, which makes my skin and lips are often dry. This balm makes my lips instant better, and the good thing is that it’s colourless, so that I can just wear a coloured lipstick over it. The ridge filler base coat is a real must for everyone with ridges on their nails. I have them for some months now and I find it very annoying that you could even see them through my nail polish. Happily the base coat covers them completely, a real recommend!
Last product I’d like to talk about in this post is the frozen smoothies nail lacquer 012. I am normally not a big fan of the colour orange, but this one is a very light colour that is almost light pink . You can barely see it, but the nail polish has got little grey-white sparkles in it (probably the frozen smoothie effect). I thought it bizarre at first, but now that I’m used to it I actually like it.
Next time you go to Italy, make sure you visit one of the Kiko shops. Feel free to tell me what you bought!
Lots of Love,
